After entering a men’s Christian-based recovery center for life-controlling issues, I quickly became complacent, unhappy, and deeply depressed. Sometimes the smallest things can change everything. I was angry, grouchy, and honestly didn’t want to be there. When leadership noticed how much I was struggling, they gave me an assignment: for the next few weeks, write down 15 things every day that I was grateful for.
