Keeps your yarn where it belongs: the strand runs through the spiral slot, so the ball stays in the bowl instead of rolling across the floor or picking up dust and pet hair while you crochet or knit Smooth, glossy finish: polished inside and out, so the yarn glides over the wood without catching as you work Size you can picture: 6 inches wide and 4 inches tall, the compact size. For bigger balls or skeins, the 7 x 4 inch XL in this listing gives more room. Check your usual ball size against these numbers before you order
