Alongside the familiar books of Scripture are texts such as Enoch, Jubilees, Meqabyan, and other works that have fascinated readers for generations. The Ethiopian Bible: Ancient Writings Preserved Through the Ages For centuries, the Ethiopian Orthodox Church preserved one of the world's most unique collections of ancient religious writings. This volume brings together these historic writings while exploring the history of the Ethiopian Bible, the Kingdom of Aksum, the Ge'ez language, the Septuagint, and the development of the biblical canon. Many of these works are often called the "Lost Books of the Bible," yet their story is far more complex.
